Ultrasound

I got my ultrasound today and my placenta has moved out of the way so we are clear for natural childbirth. I am relieved that i wont be getting cut open, at least planned before hand. She is so much bigger, she weights 4 lbs 7 oz so far and it looks like she is on her way to be about the same as her brother and sister who were both around 8 lbs. This time instead for being able to see her whole body on the screen you could only see one part at a time. We couldnt get a really good profile picture, but soon i willl be seeing her face to face so thats ok. I got relaly dizzy on the ultrasound table, i think because they have you flat on your back and it interfears with the blood flow. It was weird feeling though, luckily she was just finishing up when it happened. Well thats all for now, take care.

Much of Nothing

I have been looking at my blog thinking i should write something, but then nothing comes to mind. Well, it is a proven fact that with each pregnancy you loose brain cells, so i will once again blame something on the baby!!!! Devin is still a maniac about math and numbers and he is also in t he beggining phases of learning to read. I had no plans to teach this child a thing until he was 6, but low and behold he wants to learn. Ashlyn is moving right along with her reading and math, i can look back a year or so and see how much she has progressed. and all we really do is have her read a little bit every day, well not every day but that is the goal, and she is really getting it. Too many words on one page freak her out a little so she is not ready for chapter books or anything to long. She is comfortable with her begginers bible and the books she knows she can read. We started reading The Secrets of Droon series, my husband picked it out for them at the library, they both love it. Ashlyn could sit and have me read to her for hours, she really gets into it. Devin can stand about three chapters of the above series and he enjoys it, but other than that he like short picture books. But he will sit in his room and "read" books for about 30 minutes, which is nice. This is new for him, he couldnt do it in the recent past.

I have been itching to get babies stuff ready. So i soaked those used clothes i got with the formula stains on them in oxyclean and almost all the stains came out. I am so excited cause the sleepers are all super cute. So after i soaked those i figured i might as well just wash a huge load of her stuff, so almost all her clothes are clean and ready. Then i gravitated tword the carseat cover, bouncy seat, and swing. They are all nice and clean now too. I think that is all i need to wash besides blankets and whatever I get at my shower. The ladies from church are throwing one for me on Feburary 7th and i am encouraged and excited. I cant wait for next week to get my scan and find out when i possibly may have this baby. last night I was telling Antonio of my back pain and he said "she is just ready to come out, and he added I am pretty done with this pregnancy" and i definatly had to agree. It has been a long hard one. Well i guess that is all i have to report for now, toodles.

Germs, Germs, Everywhere

We are sick again. Seems to be one after another, ashlyn has mystery black/brown spots on her tounge. I am going to go investigate them on WebMD and see what they say before we go to the doctor. I am thinking it may be these vitiamin c/zinc losenges we got from health food store but i am gonna check it out. Hopefully after this round of illness we can be healthy for awhile. We need to cause we have a baby coming in 6-10 weeks. I have an ultrasound at end of the month and then we willknow if she has to come early or not. I cant wait to just know so i can prepare a little more mentally for a time frame.

Devin in all his slendor said to me today as i am making coffee,"hmmm....yumm mom looks good, well it looks kinda like poop but it doesnt taste like it though. Right? Its yummy" I laughed and had to agree with him it isnt the nicest colored beverage in the world. He cracks me up, so honest.

I got two boxes of free newborn/infant clothes off of freecycle. lots of cute stuff, some has formula stains but i found some little stain tricks on line that i am going to try. If not they will work just fine for at home. i sorted everything last night in her drawers and we are getting a good stash going. I am going to try and make some more diaper covers, but we are almost all set with those too. She is really moving a lot these days, i can feel little limbs and fists and feet. THey are strong and almost painful at times. Ashlyn gets a kick out of watching my stomach jump all over and last night she could feel kailyn's hiccups. Ashlyn is at a great age to have another sibling, she is super excited. Well i best be off to make lunch for my little ones.
